Plagiarism Policy
The journal has a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Submissions found to contain substantial unattributed material from other sources will be rejected.
What Constitutes Plagiarism
- Direct copying of text without quotation marks or citation
- Paraphrasing without attribution
- Self-plagiarism (republishing one's own previously published work without disclosure)
- Submitting a manuscript currently under review elsewhere
Detection Threshold
Submissions with similarity scores above acceptable thresholds (typically 20%, excluding references and properly quoted material) will be returned for revision or rejected.
Consequences
Confirmed plagiarism may result in immediate rejection, retraction of published articles, notification of the author's institution, and a publication ban from the journal.
