Peer Review Process

Qitaf Journal employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.

Stages

  1. Initial Editorial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief reviews each submission for scope, originality, language quality, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria may be desk-rejected.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewer and author identities are kept confidential from each other (double-blind).
  3. Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on originality, methodological soundness, clarity, contribution to the field, and ethical standards. Reviews are typically completed within 4 weeks.
  4. Decision: Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor renders one of: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
  5. Revision and Final Decision: Authors revise according to reviewer comments. Revisions may be sent back to original reviewers if substantial.

Average Timeline

Initial decision: ~2 weeks. Full review cycle: 6–10 weeks under normal conditions.
