Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived to influence their work.

For Authors

Conflicts of interest include (but are not limited to): financial relationships such as employment, consultancies, stock ownership, paid expert testimony; personal relationships; academic competition; and intellectual passions. Authors must declare such conflicts in a dedicated section of the manuscript.

For Reviewers

Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest with the authors or their institutions.

For Editors

Editors must recuse themselves from handling submissions where they have a conflict of interest with the authors. In such cases, another editor handles the manuscript.
